Welcome to Gabriel House! My hope is that if you are a child or young person who we will care for, that you feel that you have found your safe place that you will eventually feel is your very own home.
I am Lucinda Turner, Manager of the home and I developed Gabriel House after many years of planning and preparation. In actual fact, I was thinking about you, and how with the right team of people, we would create this home, your home, a special place, completely dedicated to helping you to find happiness, your talents and confidence.
Although I am now the manager of this home I have previously worked at another children's home and with care experienced young people. It was in these environments that I saw some outstanding examples of how to care for children and young people who had a difficult start in life.
Once you’re settled, I hope that you will help us to continue to develop by giving us your suggestions of how we can improve.

Welcome to Gabriel House and thank you for choosing our service. We aim to build resilience and maximise potential for all our children. Our primary focus is to protect and support our children to realise their potential, as we work in a child focused and systemic way.
I am Lucinda Turner, Registered Manager, Qualified Social Worker, previous Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO), Child Focused Systemic Practitioner and an experienced professional within children’s residential and social care services. We are a small care team of therapeutic childcare professionals.

Welcome to Gabriel House. I hope that you will come to feel reassured that your child is in safe hands. At Gabriel House, we aim to work in a ‘Systemic’ way. This means that we want to build relationships with people that are important to your child. With your help, we will learn more about your child and your family, which will help us to keep your child safe and help them grow in confidence.
At Gabriel House we support and promote time spent between children their family and friends, providing it is safe for us to do so. Every family is unique, therefore we hope that we will have the opportunity to learn about each other, making sure that your child is the central focus of all that we do.
